Shakeology

The average meal replacement shake cost around $5 and some change for one so your looking at about $150 for a month supply & your not even getting half the nutrition you would get with shakeology. This is truly the best meal of the day and at $4 a serving plus free workout DVD's and a nutrition plan it's a steal.

Fighting Depression Naturally

Nutrition plays a major role in not only energy levels but bodily function as well. If something is not right in our bodies it can effect our mood. Eating enough fruits and vegetables is a must. For added help in fighting depression naturally try taking atleast 900 milligrams per day of St.Johns Wort. It has no side effects and along with diet and exercise it's a natural remedy for depression. Exercise raises the level of serotonin in the brain wich enhances mood. Many depression drugs do this but with side effects. Try keeping a journal and staying close with family and friends. A lot of times just getting your feeling out and venting can help.

Benifits of Working out at Home

There are numerous benefits to working out at home. The best one to me is the cost. The average gym membership cost between $30 and $50 per month, and let’s not forget the initial one time membership set up fee that can be as much as $200. I think I paid $800 or more dollars in the course of a year for my gym membership. That is without even adding the cost of travel to get there. Throw in the days I just didn’t feel like traveling to get there and some would say most of that money went to waste. Don’t get me wrong I think everyone should workout and I’m not saying the gym isn’t good. I’m just saying it wasn’t the best choice
for me because of time and money. Think about it for second, think about what you could do with not even 25% of the money you would save by working out at home. I’m not going to even tell you how many of my
friends have gym memberships and have never stepped foot back in the gym since they signed up. Working out and being healthy shouldn’t be a student loan. Why not take some of that money and invest it in some
workout equipment of your own or some workout DVD’s. You just wake up pop in a disc pick up some dumbbells or some bands and get it in. You don’t have to get all pretty or worry about people trying to pick you up. You don’t even have to get dressed (-: bucket naked push ups anyone lol … Seriously though unless you’re a body builder or you have loads of time on your hand and money to waste a gym membership is not needed to me. If it’s motivation you need join the Beachbody community for free there are millions of people
who are waiting to cheer you on.

Healthy Snacks For Adults & Kids

Today's families are very busy and sometimes have trouble fitting in
one healthy meal yet alone three. In our culture we snack more now
than ever. This is why it is very important for us to choose healthier
snacks over sugary and salty junk foods. Soda consumption for six to
nine year olds has also increased. Where giving our kids a unhealthy
dose of high fructose corn syrup which is almost in everything we buy
that's packaged. This has caused our kids to consume a lot more
calories and get less of the vitamins they need to build a lean
healthy body.

I know what your thinking" well my kids wont eat healthy foods".
There are simple changes you can do to get you kids to eat healthy.
Did you know that to much sugar can cause mood swings?
There are somany benefits to gain from eating healthy.
Most people think that all fat is bad which is not true.
There are bad fats which are saturated and trans fat.
For example butter, hard margarine, and the white fat
that you can see on red meat and underneath poultry
skin. To much of this can cause heart disease. There are also good
fats which are unsaturated fats. There generally from vegetables
sources and some fish like salmon and sardines. The good fats help
fuel the body and transport nutrients around the body and protect
the heart. Here is an easy way to distinguish between good fats and
bad fats. Bad fats and normally solid at room temperature. Good
fats are normally liquid at room temperature.

To get your kids to eat healthy you must also eat healthy and
keep healthy snacks around the house. Encourage them to put there
own healthy snacks in there lunch box. Here are a couple of easy
healthy snacks to prepare. Carrot and apple juice. Your going to
need about 4 apples 3 carrots and a squirt of lemon juice. The
lemon brings out the flavor but its not needed. If you don't have a
juicer just remove the apple core and make puree using a blender.
Then use a sieve(strainer) to separate the juice from the pulp.
Smoothies are also great and easy to make. Freeze the fruit and use
2 cups of thick plain yogurt and a cup of milk.

It only takes a couple of small changes to make a healthy
difference in you life and your child's. Try substituting hummus or
mashed avocados for a spread instead of butter. Cut back the fried
foods and try poaching, steaming, broiling or baking I know its
hard to eat healthy but what i do is just try and put more
healthy foods in than the bad.
